Nelson Arroyo

Mr. Arroyo’s career as a real estate professional began more than twenty-five years when he graduated as an architect from Pratt Institute and, subsequently, obtained his MBA degree from the Wharton Graduate Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.  His expertise and experience includes financial analysis, project development and management, property repositioning strategies, property dispositions, marketing, capital projects, contracts, leasing, and negotiations for retail, multi-family, office, industrial and hotel property types.  The organizations he has represented include institutional owners such as Prudential Insurance Company and the Mutual Life Assurance Company of New York (MONY), financial institutions such as Amresco, governmental agencies such as the City of New York and entrepreneurial activities in real estate brokerage and consulting services.

Mr. Arroyo has successfully rehabilitated, repositioned and overseen the management of retail, office, and approximately 10,000 units in multi-family properties throughout Texas, Louisiana and Arizona.  These projects included the complete management of the redevelopment process including market analysis, financial analysis, repositioning strategies, construction bidding, contractor and tenant negotiations and management, payment approvals, documentation, leasing and property sales.  Capital project budgets ranged from a few thousand dollars to over $1 million in capital repairs and improvements. He has managed real estate investment portfolios ranging from several hundred million dollars to over $1 billion in value.

Mr. Arroyo is a licensed broker with extensive experience in lease negotiations. He is also a Registered Accessibility Specialist. He previously held the CPM and CRE designations. His foreign language skills include Spanish and French.
